How to collect your saliva sample:

Patients can sample their own saliva at any time of the day.

Please note

Never rinse your mouth before collecting your sample (max 30 minutes before). Water, in fact, removes the cells of the mucosa from the oral cavity and make the sampling ineffective.

If you have not already done so, before taking your sample, we recommend you to register your test at the following link:

You can clean your oral cavity with tap water and this hygiene status must be maintained for at least 30 minutes. In the 30 minutes prior to sampling the patient should not eat (do not chew bubblegum or anything else), smoke, drink or brush their teeth. Do not wear lipstick or any type of cream around the edge of your mouth.

Wash your hands thoroughly, open the envelope and pull out the tube.

To ease opening the device, hold the tube with one hand and, using your thumb, press the top of the cap above the label.

While holding the device by its cap, insert the swab into the mouth above the tongue. Close your mouth and hold the swab in place for 10 seconds to moisten the swab with saliva.

Move the swab between the cheek and gum. Using your other hand, apply mild pressure to the cheek and rub the swab back and forth 10 times.

Repeat step 4 on the opposite side of the mouth.

Insert the cap with the swab into the tube and seal tightly until you hear a click.

Apply the sticker code to your sample. Ship your sample at room temperature.
